The Happold Foundation is proud to provide sponsorship for two International Women in Engineering (INWED) events that are taking place later this month.
The first event is a STEM Engagement day that is being held in the IMechE London Headquarters, on 21stJune. It will focus on giving schoolchildren an insight into the breadth of engineering fields that exist, inspiring them to pursue STEM subject choices at GCSE and A Level. The day includes a robotics workshop, a engineering design workshop and a live webinar panel discussion themed ‘Transforming the Future, which will be streamed internationally.
The Foundation is supporting is the Celebrating Woman in Engineering event on 24thJune at the Institute of Engineering and Technology in London. BuroHappold Engineering will be running a stall that features a project that best represents diversity in the industry. The evening event is expected to attract approximately 300 engineers at various points in their careers.
