The Happold Foundation is proud to announce that we have awarded an ACE Mentor Scholarship to Tania Espeiel, a student from Huntley, IL. The $2,000 award was presented to Tania during the 2017 ACE Regional Scholarship Awards Ceremony in Chicago.
The ACE Mentor Program works with engineers and architects across North America to inspire high school students to start a career in architecture, engineering or construction. Along with other volunteers from the engineering community, the Happold Foundation works with ACE to run workshops and seminars, as well as providing scholarships and grants to senior year students who have shown the talent and potential to become an engineer.
Pat O’Connell (Executive Director of the ACE Mentor Project in Chicago) said, “the opportunities and exposure that Tania received in ACE, including the Happold Foundation scholarship, will have a major impact on her life and we are very grateful for your partnership in making this type of investment in the future possible. I’m very confident that the investment that you have made in Tania will result in a brighter future for her and therefore for all of us.”
